About The Editor
Kate Jackson has worked as an education specialist for more than 20 years on newspapers and magazines including The Australian and The Sydney Morning Herald.
She has guest written for numerous publications at home and abroad including Britain’s Mail on Sunday and Australia’s Country Style magazine.
As a mum to three school-age children, an education writer, children’s author and trained teacher she brings an appreciation of all sides of the education conversation to The Learning Press.
Kate has a passion for literacy and an iron commitment to the finest independent reporting.
She says: “The Learning Press grew out of a realisation that there was no single quality source of news, features and entertainment for people interested in education.
“There were plenty of websites dedicated to special interest groups and some excellent daily newspapers with pages dedicated to aspects of learning.
“But for people looking at the whole picture there was no way to get the latest stories in a format that was all-encompassing.
“At the heart of The Learning Press is quality unbiased journalism and we’re very proud of our lack of affiliation to any corporation or political group.
“But we also aim to entertain and engage our readers through meaty interviews, cartoons with bite, enticing competitions, cool trivia and the chance to be guest columnist on a respected national publication.
“So here it is - The Learning Press.
“We hope you love it as much as we do.”
